Hande B. Turker is a full-time faculty member at the Department of Management Information Systems at Bogazici University. She has received her BA degree from the Business Administration Department of Marmara University and her MA and Ph.D. degrees from the Management Department of Bogazici University. Her Ph.D. degree is in Marketing and she was given a Best Ph.D. Dissertation Award by Bogazici University Research Council (BAP) in 2001 for her dissertation titled “The Internet as a Marketing Environment: Consumer Perceptions, Attitudes and Behavior”. Her research interests are digital marketing, online consumer behavior, e-business, mobile marketing, and CRM. She has published various articles in these fields in international journals and has received academic awards from Bogazici University Foundation (BUVAK). She has also taken part in research and application projects about e-learning at the Bogazici University Information Systems Research Center (ISRC). She is actively engaged in academic-industry collaborations. She frequently participates in professional events in her field as a speaker. She coordinates and takes part in various corporate training programs and offers professional education in marketing, digital business and CRM. She is also a member of the Executive Committee of the Lifelong Learning Center of Bogazici University (BUYEM).
About BIS 516 – E-Business Management
This course exposes the participants to the nature and dynamics of the digital business environment and provides an understanding of the changes and challenges taking place in this evolutionary context.
Major topics include strategic management of digital businesses, understanding various e-business models, competitive dynamics in the e-business environment, digital marketing and e-CRM.
