Meltem Özturan is a retired Professor in the Department of Management Information Systems, Boğaziçi University. She received her BSc degree in Industrial Engineering from Boğaziçi University, and her MSc and PhD degrees in Quantitative Techniques from İstanbul University. She has coordinated and participated in many research and application projects and has published articles in various international journals. Her research interests include systems analysis and design, information systems development, business process management, information systems project management, e-learning, e-adoption, social media, business intelligence and digitalization. Besides degree courses, she gives lectures in different corporate training programs in the context of lifelong learning.

BIS 514 Systems Analysis, Modeling and Design
This course deals with the concepts, skills, methodologies, techniques, tools, and perspectives essential for systems analysts who solve business problems by planning the development of information systems through analysing the requirements of information systems to specify in detail what a system should do and designing such systems to show the components of the system should be implemented and work together.
